THE ARTIST.
Alice Gloise is the name I go by, or usually known as Alice. I was born and raised in Jakarta and then moved to Bandung for my undergraduate studies at the Bandung Institute of Technology. My program is Faculty of Art and Design that focuses on interior design, architecture, and entrepreneurship.
My Story
“When I was 5, I did my first encounter to sketch.”
I always try to create space on my own room. I decorate the walls, moving things around, and organize the belongings in my room just to feel “comfortable” on my private space. I remembered drawing a sketch of my room, talking about the bed I wish to had in my mind, and creating a chair of my own with my dad. Unfortunately, this was not the reason why I started to be an Interior designer. For a couple years ahead I always wanted to be a singer or an actress. As a kid, the thought of being popular, is an excitement for me.
Since then, I became the creative kid that active doing stuff in her daily basis. I do take a course to act, play music, draw, sing, you name it. The more I grew up, I am aware that I have an interest to create a fun space where people can boost their mood. I do enjoy my free time alone even as an extrovert, mesmerizing in a sight of every place I visit. Then in high school, I realized what I want was create a good-mood around me to make other comfortable. So, I started to make art more meaningful!
Through my passion for creating services, I notice that I have been implementing an art to my life approach all along, where I learn, feel, notice, prospect, and execute. I also realized that no matter what creative idea I came up with, my aim is focus on the same thing . I want to uncover insights and solve pain points that are experienced by people around me.
So, here I am now. A sticky notes junky that loves to ask people ‘how’ (read: yes, I am an Interior Designer, no doubt).
